This is similar to a grab bag game.
Dahri Dragon has run out of money for his wish factory. But he remembered that people wish upon falling stars. So he created a magic ball that when it hits a star will cause the star to fall. He can then collect that star and use it in his factory.
Shoot the star with the magic ball, if you hit the star it will fall. Catch the falling star before it lands. Watch out for the comets, if you shoot them they will fall down and if they land on you, you will lose 5 stars. If a part of the comet breaks off and hits you, you will lose 1 star.
Collect all the stars needed before the time runs out or you’ll have to start all over again. Be careful if a comet hits you in the last few seconds, you know you’re going to restart the level because you’ll never make up the lost stars. Collect more stars and use the star money for 4 upgrades - two to make the balls go faster, two to make Dahri Dragon faster.
Type of Game: Shoot then catch (similar to a grab bag, but not quite the same.)
Levels: 10
Difficulty Settings: Three that set how many and how aggressive the comets are. The first setting is quite easy, the other two are difficult - really difficult!
Time per level: You can choose to play 3, 5 or 10 minutes per level. This has no impact on anything except for how long you’d like to play the game. The stars you need to collect are adjusted pro rata for your time choice.
Price: Completely free, no limits
Music: 2 different tracks can be toggled on and off direct from the game.
Sound Effects: Yes, for every hit / catch etc. They can’t be turned off. If you want the feature to turn them off, give me some feedback and I might consider coding that in.
Game Saves: No, I didn’t deem it necessary. Again, if this is a feature you like, even in mini games, feel free to let me know and I’ll consider coding it into future games.
Game is packaged with an installer that will create a desktop icon for you. It comes with an uninstaller as well. The game does not write any registry entries, the installer only writes install and uninstall information nothing else.
Tested and working on Windows XP and Windows Vista.
Warning: Game created for screen resolution 1024 x 768. If your screen resolution is set lower you would have to manually set it to this resolution before running the game. There is a toggle between window & full screen but since it’s created almost full screen there’s not much difference in size when pressed. It’s recommended to play it in full screen if your resolution is set to 1024 x 768. It’s a nice window size if your screen resolution is set to 1280 x 1024 and I wouldn’t recommend full screen for this resolution (not necessary anyway). Game will open in full screen mode.
